Swimming Lessons In Tadlow
Tadlow Swim School is a privately run swim school established in 2004 who’s aim is to provide water confidence and swimming skills to all ages and abilities.
Swimming Pools
Using two private pools – a smaller pool for our younger or less able swimmers, and our a bigger pool for building on technique, strength, and stamina. Both pools are heated to a comfortable 31 degrees ‘centigrade’.
Our smaller, and less intimidating swimming environment, aims to build early water confidence and with a maximum of 3 children per session allows for more tailored and individual teaching which ensures faster progress and more interactive lessons.
We work to the current Swim England (ASA) criteria awards system which ensures pupils progression through various stages from early learning to more techniques that can open the door to other water-based sports or competitive swimming. Swimmers will also be encouraged to learn basic water safety skills, rescue, and personal survival.
At Tadlow Swim School we will attempt to match the children according to age and ability, however, pupils progress at different rates and it may become necessary to move your child to a more appropriate session.
Swimming Classes
We run 30-minute classes Monday to Friday after school hours, and on Saturday mornings and afternoons term time only.
Our Mother & Toddler sessions and pre-school lessons are on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Fridays during school hours.
Adult lessons are also available on request.
Private 1:1 lessons are also available.
All our pupils are taught on a 3:1, 2:1 or 1:1 basis allowing individual attention, with teachers in the water supporting and encouraging faster progress, whilst at the same time ensuring greater pupil enjoyment.
For adult learners we offer 1:1 lessons.These can be for non-swimmers or for those who can swim but wish to improve their ability and ‘develop’ their stroke techniques.
Swimming Lessons for all ages and abilities
We understand that some children need more specific needs than bigger, more open swim schools cannot necessarily offer. At Tadlow we will try to offer these more specific requirements.
We recognise that some children have specific learning needs which may not be met at larger or public swim schools and we aim to accommodate these learners if we can. Our expert instructors can work on a 1:1 basis ensuring an enjoyable experience with visible positive results. Please contact us directly to discuss any special challenges your child faces.

Our Teachers
All Tadlow Swim School ’s swimming teachers are either ASA or STA qualified.
They also have either the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or the Rescue Test for Swimming Teachers and Coaches. All of the teachers at Tadlow Swimming School have been CRB checked.
